Tanjung Priok holds the distinction of being Indonesia’s preeminent port. Paper and steel products are some of the goods intended for export which pass through Tanjung Priok.

The Port of Tanjung Priok is located in Tanjung Priok and Koja, which are both sub-districts of North Jakarta. The terminal is surrounded by different means of transport—to the east is the Laxamana Yos Sudarso Tollway and the Kali Sunter Canal; the Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to the west; and the Jakarta Bay to its north.
